Barton A. Myers – Countering Guerrillas in the American Civil War: Edward Wild’s Raid
Barton Myers earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, Athens, and is the Miller Postdoctoral Fellow in Military History at Cornell. His principal research interests are irregular warfare, political dissent, and soldiers and atrocity. His book Executing Daniel Bright: Race, Loyalty, and Guerrilla Violence in a Coastal Carolina Community, 1861-1865 won the 2009 Jules and Frances Landry Award for the best book on a southern studies topic.
